Brzinu izvođenja svake faze vježbice, kao i tempo izmjena faza vježbice svakako treba prilagoditi individualno, ovisno o jačini čvrstine držanja gudala prstima i motorici djeteta.

KORAK 1

Štap gudala primiti lijevom rukom negdje oko sredine. Postaviti prstenjak i srednjak desne ruke na žabicu (ostali prsti su opušteni i u zraku) i lagano podizati i spuštati gudalo svijajući i opuštajući prste. Ponavljati dok pokret ne postane potpuno opušten.

KORAK 2

Postaviti kažiprst i mali prst uz srednjak i prstenjak, bez palca, i ponoviti nekoliko puta isti pokret iz koraka 1.

Video korak 2

KORAK 3

Dodati i palac i ponoviti pokret nekoliko puta sa svim prstima.

Video korak 3

KORAK 4

Many violin beginners (and not just beginners) have a problem with too tight bow hold. This perfect exercise can help everyone – complete beginners as well as long time players. Also, it’s not meant just for players with tight bow hold but for everyone who wants to achive better bow change, better contact and control of the bow and better right arm technique overall. Off course, we should keep in mind that good technique can be achived only with good posture!

Movement speed in every step of the exercise should be adjusted individualy, depending on the level of tightness and motorics of the student.

STEP 1

Hold the bow stick with your left hand. Place your right hand middle finger and ring finger on the frog (hold your other fingers relaxed up in the air) and gently start lifting the bow by bending and relaxing fingers. Repeat this up and down movement until it becomes completely relaxed.

STEP 2

Place index finger and little finger besides first two fingers (without the thumb) and repeat the movement from step 1 several times.

Video Step 2

STEP 3

Now place all five fingers and repeat the movement.

Video Step 3

STEP 4

Vertical movement from previous steps turn into horizintal. „Push“ the bow as you want to play with it, feeling the resistance from the left hand which keeps the bow in place, immitating the bow change with the fingers.

Video Step 4

It’s important to know that we don’t need to have perfect bow hold in this excercise, that the fingers don’t have to be on exactly the right places – the main purpose of this exercise is to soften the fingers, to make the bow hold more relaxed. More advanced players can try the exercise while placing the bow on the string, keeping the violin in playing position. You can find another version of this exercise in Violina 1.
